People use blogs to communicate. Posting a blog is like
publishing news in person. Different people can blog about different things.
For example, a businessman can post a blog about work. Athletes post blogs
about their daily life that show to their fans. Different kinds of blogs also
attract different groups of people. People with the same interests can make
different comments on the same blog. This is the communication between them,
they read each other's blogs to learn more news. According to the article “Wal-Mart
Tastemakers Write Unfiltered Blog”, Walmart's blog site changed the traditional
model. It was written by little-known buyers, not by senior executives, and was
largely unedited. Walmart's website helps buyers get quick feedback from consumers
about their products, so when Walmart uses blogs, they can help them learn more
about their products. Blogs can also help sellers better understand what
customers are thinking. People use Wiki to improve information sharing and
collaboration. According to the article “More on How to Build Your Own
Wikipedia”, the wiki is easier to collect and share information and to document
discussions on a topic, it can help people improve their processes and finish
projects faster. Wikis, though simple and convenient, make it easier to share
information. But there are several aspects to building a wiki. Users need to
determine their own reasons for using wikis. For example, a project of a
multinational company needs to be completed by people from all over the world.
In this case, the wiki is a good choice. Wikis need everyone's cooperation to build
them. When a fellow blogger posts, it's easier to see and respond.
Unlike a blog, a wiki is a collaborative site that users can
edit, update, and delete, while a blog is a personal site, usually created by
individuals to share information. The main goal of wikis is for everyone to
create a big project together. Rather than sending emails, wikis have a better
idea of what people are doing and what needs to be done later. A Blog is a
personal message that we can respond to and give different opinions about. And
how blogs collaborate, literally we know that collaboration means that many
different people are doing one thing for the same project, creating with the
goal of a project. In the blog, we can add our partner's blog link to the
blogroll, so that our blogs can be linked together. Our blog will appear in
their partner's blog link. The topics and goals of our blogs are the same, so
our blogs can be grouped together. I think we can use wikis for games. For
example, our game is to create a story, each person can only say a word or a
sentence. Then everyone follows what the previous person said, using their
imagination to make the story interesting or possibly crazy. Because everyone
can edit on the wiki, everyone can put a word or a sentence after the first
person and ask the next person to continue. This can be a very interesting
story or a very strange one.
In addition, both blog and wiki have increased the flow of information, bringing more fun and convenience to people's lives. Therefore, it became more and more important in our life.
